To take the subway inbound you must have $2.00 in exact change or bills, or a Charlie Card/Charlie Ticket (you can purchase or store value on them in any underground station or at Mail Boxes, etc. in Coolidge Corner - 258 Harvard Street, Brookline, close to the Marriott Courtyard)

Coolidge Corner / Brookline

 

 

Boston's Subway - the MBTA - has several lines: the Red, Orange, Green, Blue and Silver.

The Green Line branches into several trains: A, B, C, D, & E.

  • The Bertram and Samuel Sewall and Holiday Inns are close to the
    St. Paul stop on the Green Line's "C" (or Cleveland Circle) Train.
    To Boston: From the Bertram's front door, take a right on to Sewall Avenue. At the corner, take a right on St. Paul Street and continue to the end of the block. At Beacon Street, cross to the center island and wait for the Green Line C Train travelling INBOUND.
    From Boston: Take the Green Line "C" Train OUTBOUND to the St. Paul Stop (the fourth stop above ground). Upon exiting the subway, cross the street to the left and walk one block up St. Paul Street to Sewall Avenue. The Bertram Inn is on the corner of St. Paul and Sewall.
  • The Courtyard Marriott is close to Coolidge Corner,
    the next station outbound on the Green Line's "C" Train.
  • Veronique, as well as the BeechTree and the Longwood Inns, are
    near the Longwood Station on the D (or Riverside) Line.
  • Boston College is on the B Line.

The lines converge at the Kenmore Station between Brookline and Coolidge Corner

Trains run every 5 - 14 minutes depending on the time of day, from 5am - midnight
